I just can’t think of a reason for McDonald’s Pakistan to not have a decent website. As of today site is down and showing some Default Plesk Panel page. Worst of all CyberNet Pakistan is a sister company which provides internet and develops website for different companies and banks.

Shah Rukh charges Rs.1 Crore as celebrity guest
Want your favourite celebrity to shake hands with guests, dance or sing at your wedding? All you need to do is to burn a hole in the pocket – that is, to shell out anything up to Rs.10 million (Rs.1 crore).
Shah Rukh Khan may not agree to do a jig, but he might happily be a guest for Rs.10 million. Bollywood actors and item girls like Celina Jaitley, Malaika Arora Khan, Dia Mirza, Isha Koppikar and Rakhi Sawant charge nearly Rs.1 million each to perform.
Koena Mitra, Shefali Zariwala, Priti Jhangiyani, Payal Rohtagi, Neha Kakkar, Sanobar and Mandira Bedi charge between Rs.500,000-Rs.700,000 to perform at marriage ceremonies.

Pakistan Idol is an upcoming reality television show on GEO television, based on the popular British show Pop Idol and its American counterpart American Idol. The show is a competition to find the most talented young singer in Pakistan. No official source has announced who the show will be hosted by as of yet. The show is set to air in Winter, 2007.

Ordinarily, this should not be a problem. But when the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic was visiting Islamabad in May 2007, and the Capital’s PR people adorned a number of (very) large banners to welcome him in the spirit of good hospitality. But they made a very big mistake instead of putting the ‘Czech’ flags on the banners, they placed ‘Check’ flags!
The long awaited movie Khuda Ke Liye – In the Name of God a movie by Shoaib Mansoor is finally heading towards release.
The movie revolves around a Pakistani young man (Shaan) who goes to the United States of America for higher education. During his study years, the tragic event of 9/11 takes place where the World Trade Center is turned into dust. In a long array of investigations and arrests, the young man gets arrested by the American authorities; and his younger brother is being motivated by his old friend Shershah Hameed Sheikh on the path of God and to quit all musical activities in favor of the “straight” path. Meanwhile, his uncle (Humayun Kazmi) arrives from UK with his only cousin Mary (Iman Ali) who wanted to marry her non-Muslim boyfriend back in the UK against her family’s wishes. He brings her to Pakistan where Shershah tucks them to their village in a tribal area near Afghanistan. There tries to escape but Shershah follows her and brings her back to the village.
The experiences of the young man are shown in this movie. There are plenty of other issues that are highlighted in this film. Iman Ali makes her cinema debut with this film, and enacts the character of a Pakistani-Briton. Austin Sayre also makes her film debut and plays Shaan’s wife. The young music prodigy Ahmed Jahanzeb produced the soundtrack for the film.
“Shoaib Mansoor’s mission is to show the world that all people are not as extreme as they are perceived to be,” said line producer Leigh Jones.
“He wants Americans to see that all Muslims are not extreme terrorists, and he wants Pakistanis to see that most Americans are not these petulant children.”

Angry crowds in several Indian cities burned effigies of Richard Gere he swept a popular Bollywood actress into his arms and kissed her several times during an AIDS-awareness event.
Many saw the act as an outrage against Shetty’s modesty and Indian culture, though Shetty herself angrily dismissed the protests as an “over-reaction” that made India look silly.
Shetty tried to stamp out the controversy.
“I understand this is his culture, not ours. But this was not such a big thing or so obscene for people to overreact in such manner,” she told the Press Trust of India news agency.
Shilpa said, “I understand people’s sentiments, but I don’t want a foreigner to take bad memories from here,”
